The silent genocide of Congo has been going on for years, where people are being tortured, raped and murdered for Congo's natural resources. Congo's large amount of coltan is a critical mineral used to make electronics and aerospace technology. Yes, even the device you're seeing this on.
Countries including France, USA and the UK are providing military resources and funds to Uganda and Rwanda to invade regions that are filled with these natural resources (also gold, diamonds, cobalt...).
Citizens of Congo including children, women and men are also being enslaved as they are forcefully made to engage in mining labor.
